MKT ABS Edgebanding

MKT ABS Edgebanding is a thermoplastic edge tape developed for the decorative finishing of composite panels. It has a protective function and is produced from acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) material. This creates a product with outstanding performance with enhanced impact resistance, stability, and color-through technology.

This edgebanding performs well when cut and conventional milling is recommended when working with these thermoplastic materials. It is stain and UV -resistant as well and resilient in high-trafficked interior applications.

UNILIN offers four unique edgebanding products to perfectly finish tables, shelves, and other interior projects with an edgeband the same color as their TFL and HPL chipboards or MDF solutions. These vary in color, wood design and structure, and textures ranging from stone to metal imitations.

Decorative-edging tape ABS: matching ABS edge tape with the same color and gloss level as UNILIN lacquered MDF panels.

Evola-edging tape ABS: standard edging tape in thermoplastic ABS.

Evola-edging tape ABS Endgrain: edgebanding in thermoplastic ABS with endgrain design.

Evola-edging tape laminate: laminated edgebanding, alternative to ABS.

ABS shares many characteristics of PVC edgebanding, but is acid free and can be incinerated. This plastic edging is the popular choice for long-lasting durability and ease of processing.

Widths and Thicknesses:

Standard width is 23mm. Thickness of 1mm is immediately available from stock for all UNILIN Collections designs. Thickness of 2mm is immediately available from stock.
