TSCA VI Compliance

Sierra Forest Products, Inc. Sources TSCA VI Compliant Products

It is the policy of Sierra Forest Products, Inc.(hereinafter referred to as the “Company” or as “Sierra”) to follow the rules and regulations provided by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

TSCA (Toxic Substances Control Act) Title VI formaldehyde standards applies to medium density fiberboard (MDF), particleboard and hardwood plywood products manufactured in, imported into, or sold in the United States. We have purchasing and inventory control processes in place to ensure we sell products that meet this new environmental standard.

The company will ensure all its products will be labeled as of the compliance date of June 1, 2018, set by the EPA. The company will comply with the EPA rules that require all regulated composite wood products manufactured or imported into the U.S. be CARB Phase 2 compliant or TSCA VI compliant as of June 1, 2018. Further, beginning March 22, 2019 all regulated composite wood products imported into the U.S. by Sierra will be TSCA VI compliant.
