We are proud to share that Warren Spitz, CEO of Sierra Forest Products, will receive an Honorary Doctor of Laws (LL.D.), honoris causa, from the University of British Columbia (UBC) during its Spring 2026 graduation ceremonies. The honor recognizes Warren’s outstanding contributions as an entrepreneur, philanthropist, and community leader.
A proud UBC alumnus, Warren founded Sierra Forest Products in 1988 and has built the organization with a strong emphasis on integrity, leadership, and community responsibility. Alongside the company’s growth, he has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to education and giving back, values that continue to shape both his leadership and the culture of Sierra Forest Products.
Warren’s philanthropic initiatives are deeply focused on Indigenous rights, education, and advancement. Through initiatives such as the Spitz Centre for Indigenous Business Education and the Spitz Fellows Program, he has helped expand access to post‑secondary education and create meaningful opportunities for Indigenous students and future leaders.
