Eucalyptus
Here, the light brown Eucalyptus is fumed or smoked for a deeper and darker effect. Fumed or smoked veners are chemically steamed to darken and give the appearance of aging the wood. Eucalyptus is a renowned species ideal for veneer, as it has incredible figure but is a softer lumber. This tropical grain pattern is accented beautifully with the Quartered Slicing method.

Specifications
Sumán® by LosánNL Veneer Panels Composition:
Sumán® products are a lacquered veneer on an MDF Core.
A Grade Plywood:
Grade A is the optimal choice when exceptional appearance is important. Under this grading standard, small burls and pin knots are allowed, as well as slight blending mineral streaks. However, all defects in the A Grade must be slight or non-existent. This premium graded plywood is common for furniture and cabinetry for its aesthetic clarity.
Quarter Sliced:
Quarter slicing occurs when a log is cut at a right angle to the growth rings, resulting in a relatively straight grain veneer. Highly three dimensional appearances and close linear grain is created through this popular and desirable cutting method.
Plank Matched:
Components of different logs of different widths are spliced and assembled in a specific order throughout the face to create a particularly rustic look. These components create an inconsistent look, avoiding concentrated wood characteristics and accenting them in other areas. Deliberately mismatched, Plank Matching creates a natural lumber effect.
Care and Maintenance of Sumán® by LosánNL Veneer Panels:
Routinely remove dust with a soft dry (preferably lint free) cloth. A slightly damp cloth can be used on light contaminates. On a more stubborn contamination the addition of a mild cleaning agent or detergent can be used, but too much water is to be strictly avoided at all times. In any application if any spilt liquids come into contact with your Sumán® panels, the panels must be dried immediately to prevent possible damage. DO NOT use solvent-based cleaners including acetone or ethyl butyl acetate and DO NOT use wax or oil. Use of any of these may result in irreversible damage to your panels.
