Primed Surface:

Performance Ultra-Smooth is a premium Poplar plywood with a uniform primed surface. This primed surface is ready-to-paint to be finished with a final coat, reducing time and cost. This exceptionally smooth surface is equivalent to 400 sanding grain. Performance Ultra-Smooth is easy to sand and is a non-telegraphed surface with excellent color retention. The primed surface creates a scratch and impact resistant surface that is also resistant to moist environments.

Veneer Core:

Veneer Core plywood consists of a center veneer and crossband veneers alternately layered, producing an odd number of veneers for the core. All plies are made of veneer orientated with their plane parallel to the surface of the panel. This is done to maximize the weight-bearing strength of Veneer Core plywood and lends to exceptional screw-holding ability. Cross Bands are placed at right angles to the grain of the faces and are typically placed adjacent to the face and back. The result is relatively small dimensional movement and a product which combines a smooth surface appearance with superior strength along and across the panel.
