MKT ABS Edgebanding
MKT ABS Edgebanding is a thermoplastic edge tape developed for the decorative finishing of composite panels. It has a protective function and is produced from acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) material. This creates a product with outstanding performance with enhanced impact resistance, stability, and color-through technology.
ABS Edgebanding Fabrication
ABS is a thermoplastic material. This impact resistant, tough material has many economic and processing advantages. It can be recycled or incinerated. Unlike PVC, ABS may be incinerated with general waste and is exceptionally lightweight. It has properties similar to PVC, but is inherently more weather resistant, so no stabilizing agents need to be added.
ABS shares many characteristics of PVC edgebanding, but is acid free and can be incinerated. This plastic edging is the popular choice for long-lasting durability and ease of processing. This edgebanding performs well when cut and conventional milling is recommended when working with these thermoplastic materials.
