Plank Matched Veneer:

Components of different logs of different widths are spliced and assembled in a specific order throughout the face to create a particularly rustic look. These components create an inconsistent look, avoiding concentrated wood characteristics and accenting them in other areas. Deliberately mismatched, Plank Matching creates a natural, beautiful effect.

Fabrication:

Hotán® Harmony Panels are made with 9 mm black PET Polyester nonwoven fabric on which 27 pieces of 11 mm thick strips of real wood veneered color through black MDF are mounted. The strips are then spaced 13 mm apart.

Properties of real wood veneer:

Real wood veneer can vary in color, grain structure and appearance from batch to batch.

Veneer Grade: A

• Preferred where excellent appearance is very important, as in cabinets and furniture
• The veneer is generally composed entirely of heartwood or sapwood unless specified for natural or determined by the species or cut
• Veneer is matched for both grain pattern and color
• Minor infrequent burls, pin knots and inconspicuous small patches are allowed
• Frequency of the defects depends on the species

Installation

Panels can be used on ceilings as well as walls. It is recommended to mount the panels on 45 mm thick joists with a mutual distance of max. 600 mm. However, the panels can also be mounted directly to the wall. The screws are placed between the strips through the non-woven fabric. For fastening, a minimum of 15 flat head screws should be used per panel.
